iPad Laser Engraving FAQ
Q: Does laser etching my device void the Apple warranty? A: The DigitalTechToo process is officially approved by Apple Care and will not void any Apple warranty. Using only the most advanced laser engraving technology the process ensures both quality and precision. With a CO2 laser, the DigitalTechToo process guarantees zero physical contact with the device, which means there is no unnecessary pressure or scratching with a drill bit, preserving the device?s integrity
Q: Is the marking permanent? A: Laser engraving is permanent.
Q: What format should my artwork be in? A: We prefer vector based artwork. ie. Adobe Illustrator (.ai or .eps) or Corel Draw (.cdr). We can also accept various raster image formats.
Q: What kind of images can I engrave? A: Any image can be engraved. If you can print it we can engrave it. Images should be in high resolution and have clear distinct lines. Vector images and text will look the best with clean distinct lines.
Q: How exactly does this process work? A: When you are ready to start your DigitalTechToo submit your graphic, which is the most important part of the process. We then create a digital proof for your approval. Once you give the final approval and your devices are received we will start the project. The device is then put into the laser etching machine and the DigitalTechToo process begins. Once we are finished with the project we will ship the devices back to you. The entire process usually only takes 3-5 business days.
Q: Is there a minimum order amount? A: Yes, we have a minimum requirement of five devices.

Q: What can I engrave? A: Any personal electronic device can be engraved. We can also do custom metal business cards and anything else that you need for your project.
